Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) is about helping us to re-learn and/or develop new skills such as breathing techniques, bringing mindful awareness to tasks in everyday life, becoming more aware of unhelpful patterns of thinking and relating to our thought processes with kindness and compassion. Journeying into Mindfulness practice can support us in understanding some of the causes of our distress and in re-discovering and increasing our personal wellbeing and that of others.


About us

Journey into Mindfulness has been established by Melanie Thomas to provide mindfulness courses and workshops.  During the last three decades Melanie has worked in the NHS, in community mental health and in education. She is a qualified specialist teacher for young people with additional educational needs and a qualified mindfulness teacher practitioner.

She has recently completed an MA in Peace, Conflict and Development Studies and has recently undertaken a mindful self compassion course to further complement her skills. Her practice encompasses working with individuals, groups and organisations to provide bespoke workshops/training if required.
